Employment Opportunities

WRS is a fun place to work. We have a very mixed yard, we are not just a busy riding school with lots of different horses and ponies to look after, but we also have a very successful show team based with us too. Alongside the riding school, we have an equine therapy unit, where the teeny tiny ponies live and do there very special work with the important clients. Deni and Kate regularly go off Carriage driving, and through the winter months, there are a number of hunters to keep fit and healthy too!

So if WRS sounds like the place you would like to work, keep an eye on the current vacant positions below, and if you are interested in finding out more, either pop along to the riding school any saturday, 2pm - 4pm, bringing a copy of your c.v or send your CV to deni@worcesterridingschool.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

 Past vacancies

Are you looking for the first step on the equine career ladder? WRS are looking to recruit two new apprentices to join the happy team that is already at WRS. Ideally with some equine knowledge, either gained with your own horse or pony, or at a riding school. The ideal candidates will show the abilitly to use there own initiative but to also follow instructions, to be able to work as part of a very happy team but also be prepared to work on there own. We have a very mixed set of horses and ponies, so the ability to work with different sorts of horses or ponies would be a distinct advantage. WRS undertakes a lot of breaking and schooling, so working with youngsters would also be expected, knowledge of this would be good, but a confident manner and the ability to take on instruction would help us to train you in this area.

The apprentiship's are through Keitts Training,, and in order to obtain funded placement, the candidates would ideally be between the age of 16 - 19 and not to have undertaken any level 2 training prior to this placement. This is a paid position, with working hours no less than 30 per week.

It is hoped that this position would be viewed as a stepping stone to broaden not only your knowledge but also experience within the equine sector. WRS would hope that after the initial placement, the candidate would stay on and undertake UKCC level 1/2 coaching certificate.

If you feel you match the above, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
